Ophiuchus / Serpent-Bearer — Astronomical Zodiac

Johannes Hevelius star atlas depiction of Ophiuchus holding the serpent.
Conventional Reading
The IAU states that the Sun’s apparent path crosses Ophiuchus and that, astronomically, Ophiuchus is one of the constellations along the zodiacal path; astronomical constellations are not evenly spaced.

Geomytha Reading

Geomytha reads the serpent-bearer as containment: knowledge is held without immediately becoming a system or identity. In the custom solar sequence, Ophiuchus occupies the passage after the Scorpius sting and before Sagittarius releases the arrow.

Reading Boundary

The IAU supports only the astronomical fact that Ophiuchus lies along the Sun’s apparent path. It does not support Geomytha’s date thresholds, directive Contain, mythic placement, or consciousness interpretation.
