People hear “werewolf” and think moon.
That has always been slightly misleading.
The moon is obviously part of the imagery—night, cycle, eruption, hiddenness, transformation under a changing sky. That is why the myth belongs at Full Moon.
Full Moon is not just brightness. It is appearance, display, strain, embodiment, exposure, the point where something can no longer stay hidden and starts demanding to be seen. The beast enters exactly there. Appetite stops whispering. Instinct stops wearing a polite face. Force becomes bodily. The transformation becomes theatrical because possession always wants witnesses.
