What a trust actually does (in plain legal terms)
A trust typically contains four moving parts:
Settlor (Grantor): creates the trust and contributes property.
Trust Res (Corpus): the “property” held in trust.

Beneficiary: receives the equitable benefit (distributions, enjoyment, protection).
