Return by Surrender
Geomytha treats surrender not as defeat, passivity, or self-erasure but as non-possession. Return does not require the person to acquire a superior identity, final answer, secret status, or spiritual crown. It is the release of the demand that any appearance, role, belief, enemy, achievement, or world-system must secure the self.
This mechanism names the corrective end of the Eightfold attention cycle. After This expands into These, Those, and All This, Return is remembrance, surrender, and release of possession. It restores relation by ceasing to treat the accumulated symbolic world as what awareness must own, defend, defeat, or become.
All This → Return → Am / Is. The total symbolic world-system is recognized as constructed and possessed; surrender releases the demand to maintain it; reflection becomes transparent again to source. In practical shorthand, Am returns to Is before a new claimant takes possession.
In the Egyptian extension of the Eightfold framework, Return corresponds to the Weighing of the Heart before Osiris: exposure, judgment, and release after the identity-world has reached its full symbolic order. Geomytha uses this as a return image rather than as a claim that the historical Egyptian rite encoded the modern Eightfold grammar.
This entry does not claim that surrender means abandoning practical responsibility, boundaries, action, memory, or ordinary person-function. It also does not claim that Egyptian funerary religion historically taught the Eightfold framework. The Weighing of the Heart is used comparatively inside Geomytha as an image of exposure and release. Return is a structural interpretation, not an archaeological assertion.
Do not make surrender into another identity such as “the surrendered one,” “the detached one,” or “the person beyond the world.” Do not use Return to rationalize avoidance, passivity, or refusal of necessary action. If surrender becomes a status to defend, possession has simply reappeared in subtler form.
